If a girl gets cold sores, but she uses carmex, can you get them from her?

I kissed a girl that had on a lot of carmex. I was told by her friend 2 hous later that the girl that kissed me gets cold sores. I was told that carmex helps to prevent the passing of hsv-1. There were no signs of lesions on her lips or around her mouth. I’ve never had cold sores and I’ve tested negative for hsv-1/hsv-2. My lips were dry which is why I’m scared because I heard that hsv-1 can be passed on through a crack in dry skin and through “asymptomatic shedding”, which is when it appears there’s no signs of an outbreak. What are my chances of contracting hsv-1? And should I be worried? Any pre-treatments to prevent it?
I’m sorry if I come across as paranoid. I don’t have the antibodies for it, so I’m very scared.
