when I was 16 i got a cold sore on my bottom lip, but I didnt know at the time that that’s what it was, I thought it was a pimple or something and i popped it. a few minutes later that side of my bottom lip got swelled and then by the end of the day the other side got swelled and i ended up w/ this swelled bottom lip. i was told that any cold sore lip treatment can do the trick so i had gotten Blistex and put it on my lip but I guess i was to late because the damage had already been done.

Now, my lip didnt swell big time or anything jsut a small swell but it still looks weird to me and I dont like it, I’ve learned to live with it and hide it and all.

Now I’m 20 and I got a similiar looking sore on my lip yesterday and I didnt pop it but I put on some blistex medication and when I woke up this morning it was gone. I had a doctor check up today and I told her about it and she told me there’s a medication called Benadryl that can deal w/ the swelling. Now my question is can it heal my swelling from when I was 16 and bring my bottom lip to the size it was b4? Or is there anything I cant do? I’m not really allergic to anything either so is benadryl a good option or are there better ones?

I use L-lysine when I get a mouth cold sore I began getting them when I began smoking. They go away really fast and since I quit smoking I do not get them as often except under stress.
Do any of you read the itty bitty information they write as warnings on these pharmaceuticals?

I’ve been trying to chew on the left side of my mouth for the last few weeks, but the last time I chewed on the right side, it was a little sore (but not stabbing pain)

Is it possible to need RCT w/o the tooth being temperature sensitive? Does the above sound like RCT symptoms or just sore gums?

Anyway they have poped up on my lower lip every couple of months since I was five months along with my daughter.She is 10 1/2 months now,and I am still getting em every few months.
I dont have a STD,so I would like to know why I keep getting these crapy things espcially since I had only had a cold sore one before when I was fourteen,and that was from a first kiss.

I have extremely sensitive lips. They dry and crack so easily that I have to apply lip balm to them a few times each day, or else they get scaled and sometimes bleed. The last cold sore I had was huge and I went to the doctor with it. He gave me a treatment for it and it still never went away until a whole week. I hate being seen with them, and now I’ve got another one. The doctor told me they are random and nothing can be done about them. I don’t have any physical contact with any other people, I’m 17 and wope up today and applied the lip balm as usual and later on a cold sore appeared. It’s like two small white bubbles at first and eventually they combine into one big one.
